Plumbing student has been selected to win the prestigious Astleys Plumber of the Year Award...
This year's award goes to Andrew Smith, from City College Coventry. He has been selected by a group of his lecturers as the plumbing student most likely to succeed through technical and interpersonal skills.
Sales & Marketing Director, Jonathan Astley presents Andrew Smith with the sixth annual Astleys Plumber of the Year Award.
Jonathan said, "Andrew is an outstanding student who will go far in his chosen industry. He is a confident student and has excellent technical and communications skills - exactly what we look for in the person winning this award."
Previous winners have gone on to develop successful careers with large organisations and some have started their own businesses.
Andrew will also receive a generous prize at a special reception, consisting of Jobman Workwear, power and hand tools from Metabo, Irwin, Draper and Lenox as well as personal protective equipment.
