Astleys TRADECentre is delighted to announce that it has been selected as a key partner for IRWIN TOOLS – ULTIMATE TRADESMAN CHALLENGE.
For the last few years IRWIN have sponsored the Porsche Racing Team, but this year (perhaps prompted by the credit crunch), have opted to put the marketing budget back into their end-users to promote the brand further. Hence the Ultimate Tradesman Challenge!
The challenge will consist of several trades related, skill-based tasks using IRWIN tools, such as their famous Jack saw, BlueGroove drill bits and QuickGrip clamps. The tasks will be judged on speed, accuracy and craftsmanship. There will be heats taking place at various major trades shows and dealer events throughout the UK. The last heats will take place at the Coventry ToolFair at the Ricoh Arena in September on the Astleys/IRWIN stand.
The final will be held at INTERBUILD 2009 in October and the Ultimate Tradesman will be crowned. The prize will consist of a superb cache of Jobman Workwear and Metabo Power Tools from IRWIN’s two Official sponsorship partners; a massive range of IRWIN hand tools and the Star Prize – A brand new PORSCHE 911!
Local Event winners and Runners–up prizes include thousands of pounds of IRWIN and Metabo tools as well as JOBMAN WORKWEAR Soft-shell jackets, Hoodies and ProLite Trousers.
