This unit is truly flexible in terms of the varied applications it can be used for, firstly it is low cost, so comfortably within the budget of most / all, commercial operators, BUT it is not just the money aspect that makes the product so attractive. There are many working at height applications, ESPECIALLY on new builds, or major renovations where power and easy access is just not available. In these circumstances the platform is easily carried into a building, through a house where rear access is restricted, in new builds, up stair ways, one person can carry the unit with ease. Once in place, the platform is a safe, stable fully HSE compliant work station. Currently this unit has no equal or alternative; it is a truly unique and very useful tool and a must for literally 1000’s of applications.
The usefulness of the unit is its inherent flexibility; to gain access where it is not possible to get any heavy power lift platforms on site, or if there is insufficient room between the building and obstructions to erect a tower with outriggers, the ONLY other alternative being to erect scaffolding, a very expensive exercise for minor repairs, or clearing a gutter.
The Worksafe Platform can be set up in minutes, jobs completed in less than half a day and customers not faced with huge costs associated with scaffolding, only with providing a safe work station to complete what was a very simple task.
For maintenance work, and more especially painting and decorating applications, when working on terrace type properties, with NO rear access, ALL the equipment invariably has to come through the house. This seriously limits the type of equipment that can be used and in many cases the operator will revert back to the simple ladder. No longer HSE acceptable unless used in the manor prescribed in the working at height manual. In essence this means using one hand only and having an extra person on site for the duration footing the ladder, NOT VERY COST EFFECTIVE.
Once folded, these units will fit into even small vans and estate cars. The other MAJOR plus point is that NO actual qualifications, or formal training is required to use the platform. Many working at height aids require formal training for the operator and once in place have to be signed off, by that qualified person.
